We’re currently seeking a Service Manager to lead our service department with energy, leadership, and a commitment to outstanding customer care. Reporting to senior leadership, this key position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Honda service journey—from technician operations to customer satisfaction and everything in between.
What You’ll Do:
• Lead the daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and a smooth customer experience
• Assist service advisors when required to improve workflow & customer experience
• Collaborate with parts staff daily to organize & prepare for customer appointments
• Stay current with all required Honda service training, both online and in person
• Encourage all service staff to also remain current with all required Honda training
• Monitor departmental costs, safety standards, and compliance with provincial regulations and company policies
• Build weekly schedules and assign responsibilities to maintain a productive workflow
• Review operations consistently and implement strategies to boost performance and service quality
• Collaborate with other departments and senior management to ensure dealership-wide alignment
• Support vehicle diagnostics and problem-solving alongside the technical team
• Foster a workplace culture of respect, professionalism, and continued learning
• Attend regular leadership meetings to stay aligned with dealership goals
• Promote a “customer-first” mindset and ensure every service interaction is handled with care
What You Bring:
• Mechanical and technical understanding of automotive systems
• Confidence in diagnosing and guiding repairs
• Experience managing or working in a dealership service environment
• Clear, professional command of English (written and verbal)
• Natural leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach a team
• Exceptional customer service aptitude and conflict resolution abilities
• Reliable and organized with solid time management
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
• Comfortable working hands-on in both administrative and technical capacities
• Familiarity with industry-standard software and dealer management systems
• Must hold a valid Ontario G-Class driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
• College diploma or trade certification in automotive service or related field
• Licensed Automotive Service Technician (AST) – Class A Certification
• Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) certification
• Minimum of 2 years in a service leadership/service manager role
• Honda or Acura brand experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with dealership operations and standards is an asset
